As a little distraction today, i'll point out the "shoe tree".

This is a picture from May 2003.

Somewhere on the way to Cape Scott, on Northern Vancouver Island, there's a tree along one of the backroads with a little sign near the top which reads something like "jesus saves, give him your soul". Over the years, quite a collection has accumulated. This is a poor shot of it (my distant shot didn't turn out right), but a few ambitious folks climbed right to the top to make their contributions!
